The Crohn's and colitis association of Lithuania (CCAL) was registered on November 26, in 2002.
The Society has no branches or representative offices.
On May 25, 2018, organisation became a member of the international family - EFCCA (European Federation of Crohn's & Ulcerative Colitis Associations).
The main goal of the Society is to unite patients with inflammatory bowel diseases and their relatives in Lithuania, let them to exchange disease-related information among themselves, to help members increse the quality of life and to hel become more social adapted.
The Society cooperates with doctors of various specialities, firms, local and international organizations, but remains independent in making decisions and defending IBD patients rights. Other activities of the Society are educational. The aim is to educate IBD patients and help them to adapt in family, social invironment and workplace. Increase access to the best diagnostic tools and treatment for IBD. Disseminate awareness about IBD among Lithuanians.
